Idk how u can say for sure he'd have made that happen
But even if he did...
would he bring in another Kulikov &/or Bogosian?
Murray was HORRIBLE when it came to building our defense
The only thing he did right was draft Guhle
Things he did wrong...
-Bogo
-Kulikov
-traded McNabb
-traded Pysyk
-failed to spend more picks drafting defense in the 1st & 2nd round
(Only 1 out of a possible 14)
So with our MAJOR issue being defense...
u see why ppl were uncomfortable about what more he might do/screwup?
Also, Murray has been known to "overpay" and he's already used up quite a bit of the assets that Darcy did such a good job acquiring
IF Murray were back this season...
he'd have definitely been under the gun to fix the defense or else
So I believe he likely would've overpaid again
Not all Murray's moves were bad...
but he's failed as far as the defense goes - jdfitz77
So he was HORRIBLE at building the defense ..... yet we are only Antipin (his move by the way) and another 1 or 2 guys away from being a playoff team ? I don't get it. How could he not have accomplished that this off-season? Rome wasn't built in a day yet he was fired for just that.

He was fired for telling ownership he could and then failing miserably.

3 new guys is HALF the defense!
Like I said...
he could've brought more defensemen I
But there's nothing to suggest he'd have brought the RIGHT ones in...
And even IF he did, he likely would've overpaid
Has nothing to do with KISS, I'm a drummer and listen to all kinds of music but i'm not a fan of Nirvana at all, never have been.
KISS is a totally different animal, you either like them or you don't and that's it.
I'll take the Foo Fighters all day long over Nirvana. - SABRES 89
I thought Nirvana was okay when they broke, and I liked some of the grunge bands ( if you like Punk Rock and Black Sabbath, you're gonna hear something you like in grunge). I didn't not find a lot of those bands stood the test of time tho.
I just appreciate the era because of what came after. It may have spawned all that BushX, Creed, ect crap but it also planted the seed for the 3rd wave of punk, which I view as a good thing.
Yeah myself, having been born in '80, in the 90's I was mostly into punk/hardcore/metal. Generally speaking semi-underground rock/college rock/diy rock, whatever you want to call it. I figured you had to follow some of the same if you like seeing bands in more intimate settings. - Buffalo--Sabres
Most likely. I came into the punk scene as a youth at the tail end of the 2nd wave, so most of my favourite bands had already or were about to break up.

Man, I saw 6 of those tours in Western NY, and was at the Neil/Blue Notes show at Darien. My all-time #1 is still Frank Zappa at Sheas, 1988 (maybe 89...the acid was great that night). My #2 is one of those all-day deals they do at Molson park with NIN, Soundgarden, Horton Heat, Marilyn Manson and a bunch of others. CSN opening for Dead at Rich a highlite, too.
Me too, but I'm fussy. I grew up with Black Flag, Bad Brains, Minor Threat and the Misfits, which led to me getting into the Ramones, Clash, Pistols...etc. Digging deeper like Poison Idea, SOA, Discharge ( sorta). My favourite bandtoday is Turbonegro, Hellacoptors, Shrine, are also good.
I just can't get into stuff like GBH, or any of that Oi! Stuff tho...and that whole
Fat Wreck Chords sound to me is weak and generic.

What are you into? - Larsson_fan
I go to RiotFest in Chicago every year...
it's great bc the lineup consists of everything from Blink182 to Rancid to Reel Big Fish to Taking Back Sunday...
but also includes hardcore stuff (which I'm not really into) & more recent stuff in the genres above
The coolest part though, I've seen the original Black Flag lineup there, Suicidal Tendencies, Descendents, Bad Religion, & many other early punk bands
Also, Joan Jett, Blondie, Violent Femmes... stuff like that
More stuff I'd call alternative as well like Weezer & the Pixies
Not really into the Misfits, but did see them there last year
They also have some good hip hop groups as well
I've seen Nas, Wu Tang, SnoopDogg, & Public Enemy was awesome!
I'm actually bummed bc I can't go this year
I'll be in Ireland
