Last time I looked we had freedom of speech. I'm getting so sick of the thought/word police making issue of such things in the heat of battle. The words we use say more about the character of a man then anything else but one has the right to say them no matter how offending it may be. I grew up in an era where if tacky language were used we dealt with it. I guess the snowflake generation is upon us!
I share your concern about Tommy Lasorda Ed, he's a good man! - arh777
Lol yes you have freedom of speech but if you're a blatant bumhole people will call you on it.

That word is not a homophobic slur. I am sure it is used at times in such a manner, but it's often used in a way that is not a homophobic slur.
Last time I checked, gay men aren't the only ones doing that. Unless my beautiful and very female wife has been playing the long con....
Still, pretty classless to say that to somebody. Keep it professional.

That's what makes the playoffs a different animal. It's a throw back to a game that never existed because players were never as big or fast and gear was never so injury inflicting. But the whistle goes away and players are left to "play through it." The final team standing is not always the prettiest, fanciest, most finesse team but instead always the best team in that seasons tournament. I for one, hope it never changes. |

Not a good game by the Ducks. A missed opportunity is an understatement. AHL call ups made a bigger impact than Getzlaf and Kesler. How did that happen? Well, it started with the Predators giving them the first portion of the breakout, and instead decided to place their bet on holding the blue line, and depended on Pekka Rinne to act as another defender to facilitate the puck. Given this, for the first time in this series Anaheim opted to rim the puck around the boards. Rinne negated that play, which happened more than all the previous games combined. That really stifled what was otherwise a good first period.
Unfortunately, the trend above continued. That, plus some other poor decisions led to discouragement and ultimately the Ducks didn't have the energy to muster a push to win the game. They've played 16 games this playoffs. There has been a lot travel. There are excuses for days. Know this, if this group can't get through the neutral zone, into the offensive zone, and find a way to beat Rinne; Monday will be the last game Anaheim will play this season. If they really want to raise the Stanley Cup, the time is now!Get your act together and find a way to get the puck in the (frank)ing net! |

Consistency of officiating? LOL
The Ducks are lucky where they are right now since so many calls have gone in their favour, which have been blatant screw ups by the officials. Enjoy the last two-three games of the season. - FlamesFan1230
$ 5 grand and a game just like Shaw. |

Well that was a shtty game. Borh teams we're tired from the overtime game. Both had injured players. Nashville just had a little more left in the tank. Randy Carlyle needs to play all four lines more equally next game. Thats the only thing thats gonna help us play a full 60 minutes. Theodore should get the call next game. Fresh legs might help. Gotta be careful of gibson. Rather have bernie at 100 percent than gibson at 80. Randy should have given gibby a day off on game 3. But he loves riding his guys until they break down. Now the whole team looks broken at the worst possible time. We really need fresh legs. If rackell, eves, carrick, shaw, heck even sellane can lace them up they better. So all hands on deck. #Letsgoducks
Addendum: oh yeah. I don't think the ducks should be blamed for all these injuries. The preds have been brittle this series. I'm thinking the blues beat them up so bad that they limped in to yhis series and now the ducks are finshing the job. So what a seris huh. Its the injured vs the tired. We where chasing around the flames and oilers while the preds have gotten the poop kicked out of them. This is just the funny quarks of playoff hockey. |

this series is going 7...Rinne cannot duplicate last - rubberduckies
I feel like of all the people that could utter this sentence, a Ducks fan would've experienced enough defeat at the hands of Rinne to not say what you just said. Have you seriously never watched Rinne play a playoff game against the Ducks before? Certain players just seem to have other teams numbers, Rinne would certainly seem to have the Ducks. Doesn't mean the ducks can't beat him tomorrow, but you should know better by now that Rinne steals games all the time. |

Ducks fans are loyal and passionate. Rinne has played good, but your pursuits to cast doubt makes you look desperate and foolish. When this Ducks team has faced adversity they managed to get it done. When your Kings faced adversity they folded. You're clearly obsessed with jeering about the Ducks, but it's not welcomed here. |

There are Ducks flags waiving on every intersection and freeway all across Orange County. Leave it to a spoon-fed millennial to try and put a monitary value on emotion. |
