He's going to need to beef up a bit, but he's got excellent compete, he can definitely skate and he's more than capable in all situations. He will be a welcomed addition to this team and is probably the 3rd best Dman.

Mostly agree
1. I like McCabe
3. Move Reinhart to 3C, as far as wingers for Jack go...
might have to just deal with Ennis, Okposo, Girgensons, etc until guys like Nylander, Baptiste, Bailey, etc could potentially be ready to fill those roles


My realistic/hopeful best offseason I can imagine
1. Shed 1 bad contract
2. Trade for 2 top4 defenseman
3. Sign Cal Petersen
4. Trade for 1 top6 quality winger, even if it's just someone like Nash for a year
5. In the above trades... do not move Kane or Reinhart, and hopefully not #8
How?
Take on bad contracts from teams like Pominville, Bieksa, Niemi, etc
And use picks & prospects like Fasching, Carrier, etc

Bare minimum...
trade for 1 top4 defenseman without giving up Sam, Kane or #8
