If it makes you feel better, that is Terry Crew's body. - Mordecai
I can see Terry Crews (Hale Caesar) pulling that off. So yes, I feel better. Got to stand up for a guy willing to go mano y yeti. |

You're better than that.
Ducks played without their top two F scorers AND their starting goalie. Then another top F gets kicked out of the game for a stupid penalty. Yes, it was Ritchies fault, but bottom line we had 3 F gone and our G. All we've heard is how the Kings would have made the playoffs if they had Quick, yet you easily dismiss the effect of losing a goalie that had a better save % than the opposition. - quackup
And I can assure you I ain't the one talking about what would have been if Quick was healthy for the season. Is it possible the Kings make the playoffs with him? I guess. Would it have mattered with all the other deficiencies? Nope. Far too many holes throughout lineup for that to have made a difference in terms of actually competing for the cup, even if they did qualify. Like I've said many times, was making the playoffs 2 years ago and getting beat by sharks in 5 games worth even making it to the postseason? Not in my book. Give me the higher draft pick instead. |

It is so funny how everyone says how dirty the Ducks are because they play big and heavy. EVERY single team in the league has guys that play that do dirty things! Nashville had guys this series do things that were dirty. You don't win Cups without doing some of those things. You see it every year. The Ducks are just a bigger team and can handle most of that punishment. Oiler fans, you think Kassian is a guy that docent do dirty things? HA! Kings fans, Brown didn't play chippy in their cup runs? Ask Arizona how they feel about that. Nashville, Forsberg/Johansen/Neil didn't spear/slash/hit from behind anyone? Really? Chicago, Shaw is a D'Bag when he was on that team for the Cups runs. Every year in the Stanley Cup finals, that is what is needed to get to the next round and then the next and then the next and then the final. You want to say the Ducks are dirty but they play big boy hockey and they came up short. Nashville had a WAY better goalie last night and that was the difference. We had a guy that hadn't played in a month. If it wasn't for Rinne last night, these two teams are headed back to Anaheim and Nashville is crapping their pants. That is not the way it played out and congrats to Nashville.
And to the Kings fans that hate the Ducks so much, I believe you were crapping your pants because the only thing you really have to hold over the Ducks head over the last decade is that you won two cups. I just do not understand this. You know, just be bigger than that. I will route for the Kings if the Ducks are out of it. We all live in the same area for the most part. I grew up watching and routing for the Kings because that is all we had. As soon as the Ducks came in the league I switched teams. Successful hockey no matter where it comes form SOCAL is good for us and the sport.
Ducks aren't a dirty team they are just playing the game the way that team is built. And if Kessler was so bad at what he does and it was "dirty" then why are they talking about how good he is at what he does? Why not suspend him for that "dirty" play. Oh wait..... He is probably going to win an award this year for being the best defensive forward in the game and anyone of you out there that says you wouldn't want him on your team is a lying to themselves and everyone else! - jwood13lc
It's ROOT... Not route. Come on guy, this is third grade spelling. I normally don't correct people on this stuff but this is just laughable

5th best defensive team. 3rd worst offensive. Quick wouldn't have made much a difference. Maybe confidence booster for 3-4 wins, maybe. Not much more after that. Kings need offensive help if they plan on doing anything next year. Like you said, and as have I, might as well miss playoffs if they were just going to go out in 5-6 games anyways. I was hoping for top 8 pick but whatever. |

Actually Rakell is a center. He might not have been playing there at the moment, but check the position. - Orange_me_Black
That's fine, but I'm obviously talking about players that actually are playing that position. Not players that are capable. The NHL is full of versatile players. |

Looks like all the Kings fans have been sharpening their claws! Rawr!
Abridged comment here: 2 goals on the first 3 shots isn't an option. At least there is a bright future here in Anaheim. Obviously, the Eaves situation hurts, but maybe he'll re-sign. I give the coaching staff a B+. Perhaps another year of washing "Boudreauness" out of the cranium and a more experienced defensive group is what they need. |

Nothing better then a Red Wing fan sticking his nose in the West when he doesn't know what he is talking about. I love the hate. - Orange_me_Black
Yeah, I don't know what I'm talking about after watching my team face yours in the playoffs a few times and several regular season games being in the same conference and being familiar with Kesler and Bieksa's dirty play with the Canucks.
(frank) off and try and be a little civil instead of trying to insinuate you know poop about me. |

So you're saying Corey Perry taking the butt end of his stick jabbing it into Rinne face is not a dirty play? Ok. Gotcha.

Oh, and Brown never did anything like that?!?!?! Or how about Clifford?!?!?! He is an Angel? Right! That is play off hockey and all teams do it. Get on the ice and experience it yourself. Happens at every level. Well maybe not the 50 and over league.
Ask Rakell about breaking his ankle. That is not dirty? Forseberg stuck out his foot. It happens on both ends dude! I have seen Quick take so many cheap shots on players legs. It happens! |

No what is laughable is you coming in here trying to be a man by saying "MY TEAM IS THE BEST"! Like I said before, I have a lot of friends that are Kings fans. I was once a fan and rooted for them. I don't need you to try and make fun of me so you can feel better about your life because you had nothing better to do this playoff year than to find infractions on a team that has been the better team since there inception into this league than the Kings have. Sorry but Anaheim has been the better team the last twenty years and the Kings have not. In every area from drafting, to competing, to our records against each other. Yes the Kings have won twice and good for them but you need to just stop pounding your chest in here. Its pathetic and laughable! |

Yes, you are right sir.... It was Neil, whom I think can do dirty things as well. But that is my point, every player does something to try and get an edge. |

Oh, 100%. Some players like Neal and Kesler will go that extra mile and just be utter douche canoes, though. And that's not cool. Stopping being children during a clock stoppage and the league would be a much better place. |

I see you didn't highlight the sentence directly before what you chose to talk about. I acknowledge the fact that the Ducks did deal with injuries to top players. And Gibson's injury clearly was what broke their backs in game 6. But last time I checked the Ducks were at one point in a position where the series was 2-2 with 2 of the remaining 3 games in Anaheim. Game 5 was the series. And there's no way you can blame that game (with a straight face anyways) on Bernier. Rakell and Eaves were massive injuries for the ducks, but they're not centers. I don't need to explain to you the difference in importance between a winger and a center. One position is more easily replaced than the other. Flip the script and take Getzlaf and Kesler out for Ducks. It's game over before the puck hits the ice. Gibson was injury that killed them in game 6. But they should've won game 5 hands down. - Woodysdemise
Why not? Gibson stopped all 10 shots he faced in period 1. Yes, Bernier only gave up 2 goals (on 18 shots), but his save % was .889, which is considerably less than the #'s Gibson put up. How do you know Gibson wouldn't have allowed any goals? You don't. Take Rinne out of the picture and lets see how the series goes. |

Of course berniers save percentage was less, he played in what? 2 or 3 games. If he played in one game and had a shutout would you be able to use this logic to argue berniers was better? Gibson wasn't all that consistent these playoffs either.
Of course if you take Nashville's best player out the series would be different. Same as if ya took out Getzlaf it would be different for the ducks. Overall the Preds were a better team and that includes in net. |
