they watched me stop, turn around, find a parking spot and take a picture of their car. i didn't even care. they're probably used to it anyway. looked like a father and his son. they just stood there on the sidewalk and admired that i was admiring their car.

they restored everything. i couldn't believe the chrome and everything. even the glass looked like it came from the factory this morning. the paint was perfect. the interior.. all of it.

what a beaut.

they have car get togethers in parking lots and stuff. it's actually kind of awesome because sometimes you'll just be driving somewhere on a sunday afternoon and a row of traffic will go by that has like 10 awesome cars in it because they're all leaving one of those things. zz top car, 69 camaro, (frank)ing dune buggy, mystery machine, delorean, ferrari, restored vw bug..

yeah, they call em car shows round here. most of the burbs have them once or twice a month

the mustangs, camaros and GOATS are big. As are the SS and dodges

i didn't know if that was what they called them or not. but if i could ever wake up early enough on a weekend i'd go to one. at least then you don't have to feel weird ogling people's cars right in front of them.

i went to the philadelphia auto show thingy at the convention center a few years back and it was like heaven. all the new cars, all the muscle cars, jeep wrangler rides on a yuge indoor.. pretty much a roller coaster track. oh, and beer carts so you can get drunk while you do all of this.

i should go again sometime. there's always someone who can get tix from work. and if not, i doubt they're expensive.
