”Chin noted the Audi Sport Quattro Concept and Volkswagen Sport GTE Concept as inspiration for his Corrado render.”

helping a relative buy a cheap car. we went out looking on saturday. she was thinking about the honda fit and the ford fiesta and little stuff like that.

what do we think of this for a lady that needs space for a wheelchair and whatnot?

i mean, it's ugly to me but it's better than a ford (frank)ing fiesta, isn't it? all wheel drive too.

i'm hoping the resale value will be great because of that. she's only driving it for a year or two. there's an inheritance coming her way and at that point we'll ditch this and i'll find her a bigger car (i love buying cars). nothing too expensive. but something more fitting for an adult. maybe a nice optima.

mike, hello.

she's over SUVs or CUVs or any UVs. she's trading in an old ford edge. she wants a more car-like thing but with a cargo area. also the lower hatch should help her put the wheelchair in. she's 57 so loading and unloading that wheelchair isn't her favorite thing to do.

we looked at the Fit and the Versa and the Fiesta and some other stuff. at the end we went to a VW dealership next to a Subaru dealership and found the 2 best cars of the day, a Golf and the Impreza.

went along for the test drive today. did the true car thing and then knocked a little more off and she picks it up tomorrow. the sport model, which is like middle of the pack but it rode really nice seemed to handle well and the thing was solid AF. just really felt well put together. and it's roomy inside like a much bigger car. red stitching all over everything and faux carbon fiber bits on the inside really did it for me too (i admit it, i like that kinda thing).

i named her silver streak so my aunt thinks it's even cooler than it is.

look at the worker kid just in awe.

(also, that's an estes truck in the background and they can suck my Richard)

i digress.

this one is just credit where credit's due. they were two young kids who are clearly doing the job bit by bit as they make the money to pay for each step.

oh, and it sounded badass. i'm guessing they took care of what's under the hood first.
