That stupid 007 sticker came off as soon as I got it out of the box. It's probably the last one I got, since I was outgrowing them for slot cars and plastic model kits (more airplanes than cars). My bud had the larger version that shot the little plastic missiles out the back like in the movie, but he managed to lose them in little less than a month after he got it. I probably spent more time pretending it was a flying car (like the Jetsons) rather than play with it on my Hot Wheels track.

And this was my favorite for the track:



Simply because it was the fastest. I think probably because most of the mass was low and toward the front. And it never came off the track.

Speaking of slots, one of my favorites was a Tyco Black and Gold Firebird Trans Am, just like The Bandit's (although they never marketed it with the movie). It actually handled better than my Porsches and Ferraris. But I had like a Kenworth semi cab that actually was even a better track hugger than anything else. Here's what the Trans Am looked like:



Another favorite was The King's 1979 Daytona 500 winning Olds Cutlass Supreme:



I still have all my slots stored away somewhere in my attic. If I can figure out the box their in, that may be a good way to kill some of the spare time this pandemic has created. I last used them over 15 years ago when I uncovered them due to a move. Every motor was good. No corroded or worn brushes.

In that particular case, it's not as much of a problem if they fixed its stance. The low profile tires aren't right, no matter what else they do.

Edit: you're right. smaller while with beefier profile (and wider, though I can't tell in that pic)
