all the Ferraris though. I'd be just as happy with a 308 (the ancient ancestor to the 488) in decent nick, preferably a GTS. Or a 328 (the 308 refresh).

Feel better with the knowledge that I once had a Ford Contour. This was after my family, via my parents, had two strikes against Ford with a PintNO and GraNADA, though they were gone before I was old enough to drive them. (Actually, the Pinto was OK for what it was, despite its reputation.)

Actually, the Contour was also sorta OK. I had the V6 that they barely squeezed in (not the SVT which I couldn't find anywhere) and it had decent power and handled pretty well. Good storage for a compact sedan (really was a dwarfish midsize) I even towed my MCs with it. But I had terrible maintenance luck with it. Sad thing is, the next owner got another mileage-loaded half dozen years out of it, reportedly trouble-free. (We didn't even try to trade it, we donated it to an acquaintance of a dear friend who was in desperate need for even a barely working set of wheels.) I think it might of suffered in our possession because it wasn't driven daily (I commuted mostly with a motorcycle back then).
