Not because of the looks, but that stick is going to be a simulated manual transmission (no physical gearbox). Stupid gimmick, and an unnecessary complexity & added cost in exchange for degraded performance, but I guess there'll be a lot of suckers who'll happily pay for it.

If Toyota is smart, they'll offer it only as an option.

However, the steer-by-wire system is interesting. I'd like to see how it gets reviewed when the press gets a hold of the test-drive mules. Also the brake-by-wire.
