does anybody know someone who has a 1970 ford thunderbird? when is the last time you saw a 1970 ford thunderbird?

i don't remember ever seeing one in my life. thusly, on this date, october fifteenth 2018, i have decided that the 1970 ford thunderbird is a fake car. it never existed.

some kind of coverup is taking place that i'm pretty sure involved the jedi mind trick because people just act like this car happened and it didn't.

really took the piss right out of the gimmicky part there but seriously, i don't remember ever seeing one in person and it's weird because a thunderbird's a hella popular model.

most weren't happy about the changes. the late 60's models were more popular. also looked a lot better

the fact that muscle cars just had to go away for a number of years fascinates me. but i also can almost feel the frustration from people that wanted a hot rod back then.

not yet. it was just around the corner though. the car companies had just gone through their most lucrative period and became far too complacent. the quality was trending down really hard. cars were being rushed into production in a sort of arms race among the big three. also, the drug era was in full effect and in some ways, car designers were like rock stars.

there was a great book about that era but i read so long ago, i can't recall the title.

After googling around around, i think it may have been The Reckoning by David Halberstram. It seems to fit. he is one of my favorite authors and the story was told while focusing on two car makers. Ford and nissan.
