pretty amazing that just a few incarnations later that model would look like it was heading down the road sideways.

my car got stolen when i was a kid and i drove an old 74 four door nova for a little while and it was the closest feeling i ever had to operating a tank like i was gi joe or some poop.

it was fast somehow though. i guess maybe even four doors could be fast back then. or maybe all old cars just feel fast after driving 80s/90s cars.

That is because most GMs came with either 305 or 350HP engine. Fords and Dodge were rocking some silly HP, too.

i did love it while i had it. doing burnouts in a tomato soup-colored 4 door with a white roof was neat. people expected an old lady to be driving her groceries home in it. but i'm sure i would have killed myself in it if i had it any longer and ever had to drive it in the snow.

First car I owned was a local special edition Cutlass Supreme. Called a GMO. Came standard with a rocket 350 4 barrel. Was quick from a stop and when the 2nd 2 barrels opened at around 50, she went from 50 to 90 in a blink of an eye.
