I get why they changed it. It was 1996. They had been doing the same exact thing since 1970. So much had changed in the world since 1970. The business of the Sabres wasn't exactly raking it in at the time. It was trendy.


Unfortunately the Sabres have gone through this silly game of slowly working back to normal/traditional jerseys so not to admit it was a mistake or something.

I get why they did it as well however they also forgot that Buffalo is a city that is filled with traditionalists right or wrong.

I agree, there aren't enough vets on this roster that has been there before. Some might say that's an over played take but really find me a team that hasn't had those good veteran players that have Cup experience (that can still contribute) to help get that young team over.
