Yeah, that's probably enough. Most people probably aren't willing to risk several hundred dollars just for the stupid novelty of throwing a fish. - BINGO!
So if it happens again tomorrow is it worth talking about then? |

Nashville fans need to act like they've been there before. Oops, nevermind - mont23
Naa they just need to remember they are dealing with a snowflake hockey organization (PENS) who wants to run to mommie (police) every time someone throws a dead fish on the ice.... its a fish, its a tradition...... good grief you bunch of pussies, hockey players and fans are supposed to be tough.... except for the pens, i guess they get a pass on that too. |

I would say it's very similar to cod. Sometimes it has kind of a sweet taste to it but it's definitely like a mild white fish that's like flakey like tilapia.. Sometimes they taste a little earthy though given they are the sluts of the water and eat a bunch of nasty poop. Gotta be fried in cornmeal with some really good dipping sauces tho. With a side of hush puppies and fries. (frank)ing delicious. - j.boyd919

Context.. if you are going to charge the preds fan then you should stop hat trick celebrations and Detroit fans... |

It's not like there hasn't been a precedent set regarding arrests made after the fan of an opposing team throws something on the ice. In 2016 a Detroit fan was arrested or disturbing a public assembly for throwing an octopus on the ice in Boston. Also, the NHL asked the FL Panthers to stop encouraging the fans to throw rats on the ice; when the fans continued to throw rats the panthers began to receive 2 minute penalties every time play was disrupted.
While I think it is ridiculous to arrest someone for throwing something on the ice I do agree that penalizing the team makes some sense. Regardless, you can see this is not just something that occurs in Pittsburgh. |

I love how Sid adjusted his face off style throughout the game. He was getting eaten alive through the first half, then switches to a lower on knee style and barely lost any afterward.
I know peeps don't put much stock in FO% but the more we keep their D from possessing the puck up top in our zone the better IMO. |

It's not Pittsburgh tradition, though.
If I were to throw one of Dolly's implants (or the carcass of a Bluetick coonhound) on the ice during Game 3, y'all would be in uproar.

You're right. There is 0 difference between a dead stinky fish and a hat. Haha your logic is funny.
Edit: also context is important. The squid is a tradition for after a win. Not during the game. Also only for in Detroit. If you want to throw a dead fish in the ice in Nashville go ahead, but don't be mad if other teams punish you for it. |

One is that I'd eat a hat before a cat fish. The other is you know just about everything. Do i need to list the fundamental differences between a hat and fish?

What are the fundamental differences between the two objects in terms of said objects being thrown on the ice? |

I don't watch Dertoit games. So when is the squid thrown? Also it really doesn't change anything since each arena can be different on letting dead things be thrown on their ice. |

The fact one is gross dead and smelly the other is a head cover. Also why they are thrown. One is a celebration of what just happened on the ice. The other is a celebration of being a fan, its more of a look at meeeee I'm such a big fan I'll carry a dead thing around to prove it. |

1. It is an octopus not a squid.
2. They are thrown before, during, and after the game.
3. They are regularly thrown on the ice at Detroit road games. |

Honestly it is better than arguing about 3 plays over and over for 48 hours. |

And if the owners of the arena allow that then ok. But if they want to punish someone for breaking the rules then also ok. Right? |

Simple: hats are universally acceptable forms of celebration for an achievement in all arenas for all players. Octopi/squid/whatever are local forms of something for something at a specific location for a specific group of players (ie the local team)
In addition to the fact that I think only Lady Gaga would consider wearing a octopi on her head, while nobody else in their right mind would do so |
