In all 100% seriousness, I wish I could say something very similar did not happen to me. But I can't. - jmatchett383
I can confirm. You took it like a champ, though. |

I can run for office on the following platforms:
1) Dead cats in superstore parking lot reform
2) Keeping Americans safe from gay zombies
3) "Kickstart My Heart" by Motley Crue replaces the Star Spangled Banner
4) Sale or use of hard/grainy toilet paper punishable by being fired into the sun - jmatchett383
I aint paying taxes for no fancy smancy rocket to shoot people into the sun when firing squad works just as well. |

According to this, Dumoulin and Hainsey were 2nd and 3rd in CF% at 5v5 with 62.5 and 52.9 and were the only guys other than Crosby's line with positive numbers. I'm actually surprised by this number, but in a game where 10 of the 18 skaters were under 40%, perhaps the wrong guys are getting buried? |

Ryan is dead on with the fact that the Pens D when pressed has trouble making controlled exists. We saw this in the Caps series, and it wasn't an issue in the Ottawa series because they were too busy backing up to press anyone. The forwards need to loop back and exist with speed with the D. |

The Penguins have basically laid waste to advanced stats as a useful barometer of a short series. It must drive those folks nuts. |

Thanks. No big surprise there. Hainsey is a left handed D playing the right side who is playing more minutes than he should out of necessity. I don't know what the option would be short of dressing Ruhwedel in his place and shaking up the pairings. |

While NSH had the better of the shots and chances it was a relatively low event game. NSH was only +10 in 5v5 corsi |

They have basically been bailed out by elite goaltending though which can disappear at any moment when being regularly out chanced. |

Amd I would bench Hainsey for Streit to be clear. But I think the problems last night came from the other pairs, especially the Daley Maatta pair, making poor choices, yet Hainsey is always the problem. |

That and ridiculously timely scoring. Whenever they have needed a big goal, someone has delivered. The combination of these two cures a lot of warts. |

Oh for sure. The random variance has definitely been in their favor this postseason but that is what makes hockey/sports so great. As long as you show up and battle you always have a chance. |

How many people are watching the game? He delayed the game for 2-3 minutes. That makes it a fairly serious crime. What is the economic value of 2-3 minutes times 3-4 million people? 6 million minutes equates to 100k hours. Average wage of a viewer is likely $25. So he caused 2.5 million in economic loss. Would be equivalent to setting fire to a mid-sized school. - sditulli
$25 an hour is average? serious? |

One thing for consideration...for all the justified hullabaloo about how the Preds shut down the Pens attack, something occurred last night that I think is important to note:
The Preds themselves only generated 26 shots. Its not like they were hemming the Pens in and peppering the net with chances on a constant basis. It was a very low event game, and frankly pretty choppy and uneven. If the Pens can continue to hold the Preds under 30 shots, and figure out how to spend more time in the Preds end, I like their chances.

The average HOUSEHOLD income in Pennsylvania is $55k per year.
So no, that's not average at all. |
