I believe it. Just too bad it's an annual thing.

If he was a 2 million dollar player And not part of a blockbuster trade I think he'd blend in better. But unfortunately that's not the case

- sbroads24

That would help
But I think what kills him from our point of view is that he looks really good at times, and also really awful
Like u said... there's such a huge gap between his ups & downs

The biggest problem with Batman vs Superman is Ben Affleck. That and putting too much into one movie. However, suicide squad was a complete disappointment.

Only good part was Batman even though they made him a killer lol

Thanks Buffalo news, if there is one thing I want to read about with my morning coffee is three players that are never going to be in Buffalo.

I still say they should expose Lehner and protect Ullmark. If Ullmark needs protection....

It's not a "here" thing. As "unfair" of a loophole this might be, until it changes, highly touted NCAA players now have the opportunity to go to any one of the 31 teams in this league. You can't begrudge any 20-some year old that has that opportunity, especially when he won't get it again until age 27 or 28 (forgot what the age was in the CBA).

And if the team that drafted him is uncomfortable with it, then it should trade the player before the situation arises. It's called having foresight, and it's what all the great teams have.

I'm not saying it's unfair at all. That's not my point. I don't begrudge one of these guys their opportunity to look at other teams. If all you have to do is wait X days until you control your destiny what do you do? You'd be a FOOL not to. They fit the criteria and I wish them the best in their careers.

I'm more just saying that the feature in the morning stinks, because I'm pretty sure that the best goalie prospect in the pipe line (as of now) is probably not going to sign here. That's all.

That's what it is called? Thank you for clarifying. So at what point does the team with "foresight" decide to trade the player? And they must need to trade them to a team who doesn't have "foresight" for pennies on the dollar because what team with "foresight" is going to give up anything of value for a player that is known to go to free agency. It's called a loop hole and it needs to be fixed. You're welcome.

So it seems like Botts is gonna let Stephan walk. And it looks like he's chosen Johansson over Peterson.
If the Pens finish off the Preds, does GMJB go to their victory parade? Does he go to the banner raising to start next season?

I guess that's the risk you take when you decide to draft college players at this point. it stinks, that's for sure.

Someone said Vesey will have started the trend. I disagree. If anything, it started with Schultz. But that's just my opinion of course.

Why does it have to be one or the other? Why can't he have both? Johansson needed a contract because he already left Sweden. He played the last few weeks or so of the AHL season with the Amerks on an ATO. Botterill is supposed to just sit around and wait for Petersen to make up his mind? How do you think that would make Johansson feel?

correct.. we need multiple goalies not just one. even if Cal signed Johanson is still needed to fill out the rochester roster so that we can send Kasdorf to the ECHL where he belongs

Plus we don't know what will happen with the expansion draft. We have to leave one of Lehner or Ullmark unprotected. I know most say that if they leave Ullmark unprotected he won't get taken, but I'm not going to sit here and say that with 100% certainty. It's possible we could need to sign someone just to cover the backup duties next year.

i kind of would be surpised if Ullmark is taken but considering the other choices we are leaving i could see it happen. if that happens i think we need to try and talk Nilsonn into coming back or getting some other back up.

Yes, there are going to be a lot of options for Vegas, but Ullmark has NHL experience AND is still waivers exempt for this upcoming season. Could be the perfect guy for them to fill out the roster with.
