The Preds will play their dirtiest game of the year -- keep an eye on Neal & Subban -- and dare the refs (who will not rise to the challenge in front of that "intimidating" crowd) to call even 10% of the penalties they deserve. - ab1
Going to the game tonight. Hope it's fair and balanced and no injuries besides the war drums of everyone there. |

Bonino is in a walking boot and is a GTD. Not sure what the lineup looks like without him but I'm thinking Cullen at 3c, Rowney at 4c and Hags in for Bonino. Will be a big hit if he can't play. |

No and No - DeflatedPucks
Why? Assuming Vegas takes Fleury it would be
Letang Dumo
Cole Shultz (if signed)
Maatta Daley
Rehwehel
Daley at 2 mil per to play bottom pair minutes.
Bones for 4 years, he ll only be 33 at the end (still in his prime) |

Daley won't be resigned, hes just way slower after back to back leg injuries.
Bonino will get likely get around 5 mil somewhere. Can't afford that sadly. But I'd like to be able to keep him. |

If Bones can get 5 million per good for him, I think the Pens price would top out at 3.5-3.75 per. The problem with letting Daley walk is who replaces him? Franson? |

Franson? Thats far from a lateral replacement...
You have Daley slotted for bottom pairing minutes. Lets be realistic, a 5/6 Dman isn't the hardest thing to find. Its the top 4 that get very pricey. People have been putting up a few people we "should have" gotten on this blog the last couple days. If are biggest off season trouble is the last starting Dman, again (no Lovejoy), we're fine.
Of course, our bigger concern(s) are likely the 3rd and 4th line centers. Maybe we can swing a trade for Jordan Staal at ~1mil retained... Gunner would cream his pants |

I just cant believe the proposed price for Bones. I love him as a player, but not for 4 years 20 million. Agreed center could become an issue. - Brianandr1
A few teams are going to look at him as a 2nd line center, that can be on the powerplay and kill penalties.... ~5 mil is a solid price for such. |

Daley is a good 5/6 guy but also a cheap fill in for injuries in the top 4. and we will have them. I would offer him a 1 yr deal. I like the idea of keeping guys that work in the system but also being aware of any substantial risk. |

That is why I don't believe he will get resigned... 1 year deal is likely what JR also would want from him. Due to age and injuries and such.
I don't believe Daley would want such, and after his last two years here, he'll be able to get solid money and 4-5 years someplace.
Its not that I don't want them back, I just don't want them for as long as they'd want, so I assume deals won't be worked out. |

Other teams are aware of his injuries and age as well... these days money isn't thrown around as much, but that may change for some teams losing ppl in the expansion. Gonna be an interesting month ahead. |

With how bad our PP is at the moment, the refs are doing Nashville a favor by given us more |

With Antti Raanta or Philipp Grubauer (among a couple of other younger+cheaper goalies) floating around out there I really don't see Vegas bothering with Fleury at all. I think Vegas plucks a d-man from the Pens and no trade for Fleury, he remains a Penguin for next season at least. After that, who knows. |
