I really hope the Pens win so we can throw it in your face all summer. The fact that they are all the way to the finals again, and doing it in a way that doesn't fit your narrative about how a "great" team "should" win must really chap your ass. Everyone knows they aren't going to be a great puck possession team without Letang, and many, incluidng you dismissed them for it. Yet here they are having defeated so many teams you have picked instead of them that supposedly were "better". They are gutting each game out and winning with opportunistic scoring and goaltending. No, it isn't pretty, and they aren't the dominating team they were last year, but here they are, getting it done. The series has a long way to go, and unless they start getting some PPG's, they are going to be in trouble, but all they need is two more, and they STILL have the best two players in the series.
PS: Saying the team has to rely on MAF, who hasn't played all finals, really makes you look foolish...at the very least, its sloppy writing.

Lesson learned. Nothing to read here. - quackup
He's advocating for an agreement that doesn't do anything and is non binding andpredicated on a hoax. Darn right, nothing to read here!
Your post will probably be deleted. As will this one.
Tanner can leave his anti Trump comment, but any response is erased. Freedom at work. - quackup
A mod must've been really busy. At least 135 deletes. I wonder how many people flagged every post. This thread wasn't any worse than most of them, and better than some in some ways.
I wonder if Tanner got a message or something, because if we're not allowed to discuss the content of the blog then he shouldn't be allowed to write about non-hockey things. Which I'm 100% against any kind of censorship. This place would be dead for 8 months a year if we didn't talk about other stuff too. 2 summers ago? on the Sabres thread for a straight week it was how to cut down a big tree, with pictures, and then other people chimed in with their tree cutting stories and pictures. I wonder how much money the site made when otherwise there would've been 1% of the traffic out of our thread.

Hilarious! Tanner, you keep digging yourself into this hole even deeper.
Tanner: spews out a bunch of near-sighted emotional alt-left whining..
audience/clients/customers/etc: but wait, what about MY point of view?
Tanner: DELETE
As I stated earlier, Liberalism is being outed. This activity is precisely the problem.
Did you write your cheque yet Tanner (or should I call you Berkeley?) - JLO961
Mods probably did all the deletes. Perhaps Ek and the mods finally realized that one of their own "bloggers" is completely out of line talking politics and violating the CoC.
Perhaps then, just maybe, the Caps and 'yotes fans can each get someone in there who KNOWS about their TEAMS, actually WATCHES the games, and actually STICKS to writing about THEIR TEAMS.

Tanner isn't bringing in anybody to this site. Everyone on here goes to their team's blog and then clicks on Tanners' blogs to see what trainwreck is happening each day. Political talk (Trump) has gotten out of control. Every blog he writes has to condemn Trump or his supporters. I get it, Tanner hates Trump and his supporters, but how bout he saves his politics for a blog on MSNBC! Im sure he would be a hero on that network.
Its just getting old. Imagine if another blogger did this for 8 years w/ Obama!!?
I and many others don't care about eachothers political beliefs. Most of the time we want to hear updates about our teams and rumors (Thanks EK), and bust balls once in a while. Our blood pressure shouldn't have to rise everytime we click on a blog.!!
Hey Tanner, go visit Jan Levine's blog....maybe you can learn a thing or two!

I won't even click on his blog. He gets paid by hits, I understand. If correct, I won't co tribute to someone so vial being paid. And to boot, his hockey knowledge is poor; still harping on how good the Caps are, faceoffs unimportant, etc.

To be fair I think everyone can agree that they only beat one team that was "better" than them in the playoffs.

The team wouldn't have made it this far without him was my point.

How about correlation does not imply causation? That's from a basic statistics class. But you can get people to do a lot of things by showing them statistical correlation and claiming you know one factor causes the other.
For instance: I always wake up with a headache when I don't take my shoes off before I go to bed. It's the shoes that cause the headache, right?
YOU PEOPLE ALL DISGUST ME. HOW CAN YOU SAY, HONESTLY, THAT YOU DON'T LIKE IT. IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, YOU'RE A COMMUNIST PANSY!
We're talking about putting butter on waffles before you pour the syrup...right?

No, your headache is caused by not putting butter on waffles.
Edit: You could try your theory, however, by keeping your shoes on when you sleep for about a week and seeing if your headaches disappear or not.
