A while ago S & the BD asked the question who would you bet on making the playoffs first, Bills or Sabres? Kelly spoke at his annual charity golf outing at Terry Hills today. I hope he's right about McDermott. Come on Bills. - Hatboro_Swords
I'm in a tough spot with the Bills
I wanna cheer for them to do well this year,
but us picking in the top5 is SUPER important this draft
Gotta get a QB
Otherwise, a wild card spot will pretty much be the ceiling
And we haven't even been able to do that |

As a comic book fan that would be very cool to see but it would be a waste of money and most likely a box office fail
They're probably going to have some backstory when they Bring in Parademons, Steppenwolf - GERBE!!!75PTS
Maybe... seems like D.C. Is taking forever to get all these movies out
Aquaman could be pretty cool
I tend to like the individual Super Heros movies more than "Avengers" type stuff
Everything just gets too big
Hard to tell a story with 6 or so main characters
I'm not super psyched for the Justice league movie
But we will see

When I saw them last year, Ward's absence was the only bummer.
One mock draft had the Sabres taking Makar over Liljegren at 8. FWIW Valimaki was also available. Does anyone have a strong opinion of these guys?
I think only one defenseman off the board by the time we pick is too optimistic. But thinking about these possibilities can be fun. |

Thing is, they should and probably will end up doing so if they wait till TDL - Sabresfan-365
Why should they "give away" Kane? It makes no sense. You don't compound a perceived problem by just saying "(frank) it" and getting pennies on the dollar especially when said asset is performing. |

not give away, give for picks. The thing about trading kane is as much as everyone wants to believe this it really has nothing to do with kane himself.
They've got money tied up at the forward position and will spend more with eichel, reinhart and nylander. They need to spend on the blueline. Beyond that, if you're not comfortable giving him a long term deal you need to get max value instead of letting him walk, this might be picks and prospects
Nothing stopping them from using those assets in a different deal to address a different need but specific to the kane situation at this point it should be about value. |

The bogo one makes perfect sense.
Its relatively cheap during the years you'd want it to be |

There's a smoke detecter right outside my door of my apartment and it keeps beeping while I'm trying to sleep because it has low battery. So I go out there to try to take the batteries out, and it starts going off full blast yelling "fire fire, carbon dioxide" fml lol |
|
|

So I got it to shut up and put the batteries back in but now it's still beeping for low battery and I have no batteries to put in it lol |

E. Stay the course at Forward, sign Kane, move Reinhart to 3C
?????-Eichel-?????
?????-O'Reilly-Okposo
Kane-Reinhart-?????
The big problem with this is we are still probably a season away from our young wingers being able to really produce in those blank slots
Nylander, Baptiste & Bailey... imo, they can fill 3 of 4 slots for years to come
As for what we do THIS season...
Ennis, Foligno, Girgensons, Larsson & Carrier can all get their chances
And we've seen guys like Aberg & Guentzal produce as rookies...
maybe Bailey/Baptiste/Nylander can start contributing sooner than later
Fasching & Rodrigues might get a shot too
So yeah... this year will still involve some shuffling here & there
Also...
although defense is the clear priority,
There's teams with extra forwards they can't protect in Expansion also
Aberg will be exposed by the Preds, as will Neal imo

Tyler Ennis
236pts in 419 games = .56ppg (46pts/season)
And that's with these last 2 throwaway seasons included
Before Bylsma, he was at .63ppg (52pts/season)
Duchene= .79ppg
Eberle= .75ppg
I know he's looked pretty bad the last couple years, but...
if Ennis can regain form under a new coach, he's more than ok
Unless we make some major moves,
I'd like to see him get his shot in the top6 |
