I could easily see him getting awarded $4 million
I do believe it's only for 1 year though with arbitration right?
I don't totally remember how it works - Stripes77

How about 16th overall and we add on a young prospect (like an Asplund)? |

Maybe? I honestly dont know what his value would be but i figure in general teams would offer a 2nd?
So i guess him plus asplund could do it but really comes down to who else is out there. |

Then really there is no long term deal there, it could be used as a bridge deal (a little higher on the salary side than we would like though) |

I hate to say it but I think Golden State's going to sweep the series
The Cavs just can't keep up with their scoring - GERBE!!!75PTS
LOL ... they can't play offense or defense. Poor LeBung.
That said ..... Cleveland might win a game. (Wed.) |

Nope. I am not moving Asplud yet.
Whatever Lehner gets you by himself I do. I don't add, unless its like a 3rd rd pick + Lehner for a 1st. |

The whole NBA is terrible right now. You didnt have to watch a single second of the Season/playoffs to know who was winning this year.
The regular season was awful, the playoffs were awful, and so far the finals have been awful. |

I guess my point was a second round pick, might not be that specific player (asplund) |

The fact that there's a 14-0 team shows there's something very wrong imo.
Plus that curry on LeBron play everyone's fawning over? There's about 2 double dribbles in there |

I like seeing this. We're always told modern dynasties won't happen and records won't be broken because of parity...

Probably true. Bad time to be a fan of any other team between now and 2019. I just don't see how it's fun to watch a team that is automatically gonna win. The NBA could cancel next season and just have a playoffs. |

because its not as hopeless as it seems. Minnesota for example is by no means a big market FA destination. But that team is going to peak right around the time Golden State and Cleveland are going to fall off a cliff. They built the same way any team in the nhl would (or rather should).
Towns, wiggins, Dunn, Levine and whoever they take this year.
They're in a position to create their own big 3 like Golden state did.
Same with the celtics. It may take a little longer but most teams in the nba if they follow that kind of blueprint have a shot at a big 3 and championship. In fact id say its way more fun in the NBA than nhl since every team is trying to create an offensive powerhouse, not some 1-3-1 defensive/trap poopheap a la bylsma/boucher. |

I disagree, I find it completely boring. Yea we are watching an all-star team basically, but its all stars playing against college teams.
I don't think the model is sustainable. if It's Cleveland and Golden State next year, I would expect the finals ratings to crash. |

and OKC was supposed to rival GS for years, but Durant left to chase a title (No problem with him doing so) I assume it will happen again when the above want to win. |

accidentally flagged
Its a risk that any team has to take, but they've timed this so well that its more likely to be the former than the latter.
OKC could've rivalled them. the decision on Harden was a huge miscalculation. Durant -Westbrook-Harden would've slapped the poop out of Curry and co. |

I know they are EK rumors but if LV is going to take high picks on for bad contracts, I expect them to have about 8 or so 1st rd picks in the next 2 years. How fun would that be. |

It's the best team in NBA history vs the best player in NBA history
I expect the Cavs to take 1 game.
If I were a fan of an NBA team, I'd probably hate it. But I like watching great players play with no stake in the results |
