At what level has he shown that kind of offensive powress?
- Larsson_fan

Hey Fck tard! Are you a scout? How many games have you watched? He has great wheels & great offensive instincts, 19 year old that got 30 points in the AHL is nothing to sneeze at. He's raw & a work in progress. How is it that your crystal ball says he won't be worth anything? But I guess you Oiler fans don't really know what high expectations are unless they are 1st overalls & then..........

Nope. Only Reveen had a Bennett boner. He was proven wrong, beyong a shadow of a doubt.

You guys did well though....thank God Buffalo's GM was (frank)ing retarded.

- Larsson_fan

Really, thought it was you too. Yeah there were quite a few disappointed Buffalo fans over here that day too.

I thought Bennett would be gone so I was all in over Drais and Reinhart (at the time we needed d prospects--was hoping we could grab Griffin too and have all 3 on the team). Kinda glad we didn't waste assets on that .

I'm still happy with Bennett though, think he'll be a very good player for us.

I would love to get Corey Schneider.

The talk for Ovi is dumb. I would never part with Bennett and more for Ovi. That would be a horrible move.

Other than Schneider or Raanta, I think Mike Smith would be a good fit here.

No I just was pointing out that you came in here being fck tard.

Maybe you are more crankier than you thought now that there is no more meaningful games these days.

Its actually pretty tame over here, or at least lately....but come on, you guys never take a wait and see attitude.

5 seconds after the 2014 draft you dinks were all saying how bennett> Draisaitl.........that pretty much sums it up.

I find it funny how you can find different posters who are so high on different D prospects we have ...one guy think player A is untouchable and another is throwing him in trade proposals

One poster went as far as to say Kylington has the skating and offensive prowess of Erik Karlsson.

I try not to say poop. For example, Oilers fans are expecting big things from Pullijarvii or howeverthefck....but he was not good in the NHL or the AHL last year. If he was mediocre in the AHL he should stay there u til he is very (frank)ing good at the very least.....

...but I am in the minority. I just try not to comment on Jr prospects...the majority of drafted players dont come anywhere near the fans expectations of them, so why have any?

Yeah I know, can't be bothered watching any of these Final games. Am looking forward to what kind of cockamamy trades are going to be made with both these drafts coming. Then I tune out to Stampede, patios , golfing & poker.

Seems like the trend with most fan bases is to anoint any junior player they draft in the first round a sure fire first line star ...then at 20 if he isn't a star he must be a bust

Another fck tard. Must be the air or something. I said he skills have been compared to Karlsson but has a lot of work on his defensive game. Karlsson is just an outright stud. If he became 60% of what Karlsson is we'd have a nice player in our top 4. He's 19, 2 years of AHL under his belt & has 30 points. Do some AHL research & you'll see that is pretty impressive. You guys want to give him up for a backup goalie who thinks he deserves a shot at being a #1. Just saying. I guess we all have our own opinions. In 2-3 years you can tell me how wrong I was & I will even e transfer you $10.00 to go buy a beer. Deal!

How great would it be if Benning overpaid for our Sbisa too?

It's too bad they're running out of good players to trade.. how about their 2nd and the 2nd they got from Columbus for Kylington?

Turn two 3rds into two 2nds within two years.

He has the skating & offensive prowess of Karlsson but not the defensive game yet but there was a reason he was a top 10 early ranking

Yeah so. Put his offensive skills together with a proper defensive game & you get the comparison. You know he was ranked in the top 5 at one point & he had a bad tournament before the draft & then he slid way further than anyone could have expected. I was thrilled when we got him. If we hadn't scored Dougie H, I was hoping we could pluck him at #15 that year. But at age 19 he hasn't won the Norris yet so we better jettison him for a bag pucks. Ok

Should've stopped before that example. Montreal fell out of contention and missed the playoffs when Price went down.

What you are saying is true to a point. But I think the extra ~2mill we would spend on Schneider over a goalie like Mason or Elliott would be worth it. Especially if we decide to go with a more inexperienced blueline next year.

Is it worth having the most expensive goaltender in the league? Probably not. But the 6 million that Schneider is making is actually pretty reasonable/in line with what most teams that made the final 4 in the last few years have been paying.

- Saskabush

Montreal missed the playoffs because they stopped scoring goals. It was pretty much the same as what happened to LA this year. Backup goalie came in and did an admirable job, but the rest of the team quit.

If it was just the money, then yes, I'd rather have Schneider, but it's not worth giving up what they'd have to give up to get him. You also can't ignore that he was bad last year and has had no playoff success.
