I wouldn't make this trade. I am a firm believer that the team that gets the best player in the trade is almost always better off.

I'd probably still do the deal but try to flip Hammonic for a better defenseman, even if I had to add to the deal

I want someone under 25 for Reinhart. I have no idea how old Ekholm is, but Leddy is too old for a Reinhart deal, plus Reinhart is way better value wise.

Edit: Ekholm is 27 with a fantastic contract. Hell yeah I'd do that 1 for 1. But you also have to ask yourself how much of these guys(Nashville, Anaheim, LA, Minnesota) are system related? And how much does that inflate their true value?

Heard they will be using those bright blues next season. Dropping the dark navy blue
