hoping/suspecting that Chevy has a deal worked out with Vegas where Vegas is taking who they like better out of Copp or Dano plus the Jets have agreed to trade them one of De Leo/Lipon/Kosmachuk plus this years 2nd rounder for a goalie that Vegas will take in expansion ( Grabauer, Raanta, Fleury, Korpisala, Neuvirth )

The next time I hear or read the name "Tavares" on a Jets post ANYWHERE, I'm gonna be upset. Signing him is gonna be a huge mistake for whichever team overpays to get him. Trading for him will be even worse.

I'd sacrifice Lowry, personally. His size ups his value waaay higher to a guy like McPhee. Then give them Myers for Grubauer and a 2nd.

Is there a team in the NHL talked less about than Winnipeg? I don't think so. I can also go on to any NHL rumour site and find something interesting about every single team right now, except the Jets. Man I hope we have something to talk about soon lol

It's because A: they know Chevy is timid, and B: the only moves we make our generally nonsense (Burmi waive) and/or under the radar signings (Perreault).

Shoutout to Philly and Ghost for signing a deal so ludicrously cheap that Trouba's agent just had a stroke. We might just get Trouba at under $7 million now. Hopefully for 8 years.

According to you Tavaraes is on the decline at 26. So yeah I am. Trouba also plays are ally hard game. I don't think physically he can maintain it without a significant drop off happening.

Trouba has only continued to improve at this point, whereas Tavares has slowly been declining. Look at Duchene, Stastny, Ryan, Eberle, Nyquist, or even a guy like Mike Richards. All flew out of the gates before peaking early in their career and falling off hard. Tavares will force his was into the next big overpayment territory in the upcoming season. Trouba is already in Norris territory, and has the supporting cast to put up stupid numbers.
