There's a real chance the cap goes up almost nothing this year, and that's what was expected until a few days ago.

IF the cap was going up the full 5%, they would have announced an actual number and not a projection, the cap came in last year 1 mil under the projection.

As far as adding both, it would be suicide. We'd literally be Chicago without the 3 cups

Never said they will. I said 10 teams at least will be in the market, as in we have a ton of comp. in acquiring a D man.

You can add the Rangers to that list as they are trying to move Staal and bought out Girardi so they can add a D man.

There's about 10 other teams who also have defensemen they can't protect
There's only about half that who have an empty slot to trade for a defenseman & still be able to protect him

Although it appears many teams are making deals with Vegas
