The Stars would have to give us something to take one of their contracts, not us give them a pick, I don't see Chad Johnson wanting to come back here, he left to be close to home.

ullmark was already an rfa, they didnt need to sign him to expose him

They needed to at least qualify him though. All RFAs need to be qualified to be exposed. Unless it's totally different for goalies, but I didn't see that.

The world we live in is "what have you done for me lately". Not what you did for me 3-years ago. Sorry, but Ennis is getting paid over $4 million per year to produce at the NHL level today - injury history or not. Ennis is probably a really nice guy and does good charitable work. However, that's not enough to justify what the Sabres are paying him. We need him, Bogo, Moulson and a couple of others gone so that we have the cap space to fix our holes and put a team into the playoffs.

I don't get this Ullmark deal. Why would he take 200k less than he made last year? Doesn't make sense.

I would love for them to announce a two year 9 million extension for Lehner, while leaving him exposed for Vegas. Protect O'Reilly, Opkoso, Girgensons, Larsson, Carrier, Foligno, Kane, Risto, McCabe, any cheap damn, and Ullmark. It would make Ennis even more of an attractive option in the draft.

Lehner is a passable goalie, a 1a/1b at the least. I think Ullmark will be a solid backup but I could see him being about as good as Lehner is now if we (or Vegas) gets lucky
