4 million ranks him 25th in goalie salary, who are we getting to start for us for less. You guys honestly think Nilsson and Ulmark as our starting goalies will put us in contention for playoffs next year.

Ulmark and Chad Johnson as a tandem. Maybe. Plus I don't see us making a run for the playoffs next year unless Jbots is the second coming of Sam Pollock.

Doubt it. Ullmark is signed to be a full time NHL backup. I guess it depends on whether they want Lehner or intend on trading him. They'll make a deal with Vegas to not take him, and protect Lehner.

As much as I think Lehner didn't play bad this past year until he has proven he can stop a breakaway he's NOT our goalie of the future.

The intensity, mask and tats get bonus points though.

I don't think it's that unrealistic, but sometimes you need to take a step back in order to move forward.

I'll be pissed if we end up picking 8-10 again. Either we need to be in the post season or we need to win a lottery

we want to win cup(s)? look any team can spend money, make trades and put together a 6th seed playoff team that might win a series, but thats not why tore this whole thing down to build around eichel.

If players become available who can be part of a cup contending core im all for it but if not there's no sense in rushing things just to lose in 5 in the first round.

So they expose Ullmark since he is under contract and protect Lehner until they figure out his contract or trade him...

Vegas is not going to be taking Ullmark, there are too many goalies out there

They won't be taking Lehner either. Rather risk losing Lehner then Ullmark at this point.

Whether you agree with what Murray did or you don't, it doesn't change the fact that this team was one of the worst in the history of the NHL that was devoid of any talent whatsoever, and to think we would be anything but average 2 years later is probably a bit unrealistic.
