That's probably the worst possible idea. Petersen hasn't even earned an AHL starting gig and we want to give him a 1A/1B situation in the big leagues? Yikes.

I'd much rather just lose Petersen then rush him and ruin his career going forward.

Everyone was ready to give O'Connor the starting job. Everyone female doged and moaned that we didn't sign him. He isn't all that he was talked up to be.

Sign Petersen if he's okay with competing in the AHL for 1-2 years at least. If not then so long it was nice drafting you.

I found this kind of funny. It's a business no matter how harsh. It's all about production. I've seen none of that from Ennis in the last two seasons.

I believe being part of community events and such is a team policy. So I wouldn't exactly put a halo over his head just yet.

He had a bad injury but he hasn't recovered. Yet he went down again.

At that price in the salary cap era I am looking for something much more productive.

I personally think it has more to do with the hate for Lehner than the love for Ullmark. I would love for them to announce a two year 9 million extension for Lehner, while leaving him exposed for Vegas. Protect O'Reilly, Opkoso, Girgensons, Larsson, Carrier, Foligno, Kane, Risto, McCabe, any cheap damn, and Ullmark. It would make Ennis even more of an attractive option in the draft.
