I love this.
Sam Reinhart will get a pass because Bylsma did this or didn't play him at center or whatever other excuse people want to use, but the fact that Drouin was played on the 3rd and 4th line for 2 years, and sometimes benched, which is what led to his initial trade demand will be ignored.
Reinhart is a solid player. But we really need to stop comparing him to the more electrifying players in the game like Drouin because he's not that type of guy.
Happy Friday - sbroads24
What we need to do is stop pretending that u need to be "electrifying" to be a good player |

Reinhart is good.
Reinhart is also not as good as Drouin
both can be true |

39 mentioned Ennis going to Vegas? I had heard Moulson. That would disappoint me. I much prefer unloading Moulson's contract to Ennis'. |

If that's how you want to view it, fine.
I keep hearing about how damn good Reinhart is, how we need Kane, how Risto is a franchise #1, how Lehner is a good starting goalie, yet I see us with the 5th worst record in the NHL.
I don't know. If you want to call Sam a "great player" like the poster I responded to did, then go ahead. I just don't agree with it - sbroads24
If that's how u want to view it,
then I guess Jack & O'Reilly stink too
That kind of logic doesn't hold up |

Whether or not that's true...
WHO GIVES A SH!T?
Comparing them as a method to say "Sam isn't good enough" is BEYOND POINTLESS and quite ridiculous
We drafted Sam
He's young & will only get better

I honestly have no issue with Ennis' deal. He brings something to the table, whereas Moulson, to me anyway, is all but useless. Just me, but I'd rather not spend anything to unload Ennis. |

Again, I'd say that Buffalo may prefer it to be Moulson that gets taken, but I just don't see it happening. McPhee is not uprooting Moulson and his family, being his wife's godfather and all. Maybe I am wrong, but I just don't see that as likely. And honestly, why wouldn't Vegas go for Ennis over Moulson? Makes a lot more sense for Vegas. Will be an interesting next 7 days though, that's for sure. |

I feel the same way about Ennis as I do about Larsson, expansion draft wise: if either have a decent year this year, you could trade them for assets, rather than giving up assets. Plus, Ennis 's contract isn't THAT bad. I also love mad Ennis when he tries to lay out guys after they hit him |

I'm just excited to see which rumor is correct.
Moulson or Ennis? - TheSabresTaco
It's quite possible they both are
Could've been talking about Moulson (which is all the rumors said I believe, not that we had an actual agreement to send him there)...
but Vegas could've been like, we want a 1st to take him
And then maybe they said it will only take a 2nd or 3rd for us to take Ennis,
So we agreed to that |

Depends on the deals on the table for expansion.
Ennis has the potential to vastly improve on his bad seasons. Moulson really has nothing left but to maybe replicate last season. If I'm Bots, I'm trying my hardest to unload Moulson, considering out of everyone we want gone, he has the least value. Based on age, term, cap hit, potential and skill. |

a 2nd for them to take ennis seems like too much.. he still has potential to be a solid 2nd line guy.. moulson is a 3/4 guy with PP2 time |

I wouldn't trade our 1st to get rid of anyone on this team. If Moulson can't be given away with a 2nd, let him play here one more year and use a BO next year when it actually makes sense and we need the cap space. |

I'd like to see 23 with Bailey and Baptiste for a good 5 game stretch. It could be smoke and mirrors, but it sounds like housley wants Ennis in the top 6. Idk if he really believes Moulson is top 6 or if they're trying to pump up his value. All things being equal, I'd expect:
26-15-63
9-90-21
56-23-73
28-22-82
If the season started now. I hate that top line
It sounds to me like Bogo is heading to the desert - jcragcrumple
Except for Moulson on the top line,
I completely agree with that set up for right now
U could even switch Kane & Bailey, or Ennis & Okposo, etc
Point is...
build down the middle
Those 3 would make us quite deep at Center
And that 3rd line could be a tough matchup

Totally agree. I think them taking Ennis would be a straight up pick. If we expose Ennis, Carrier, Gorges, Bogo and Ulmark, maybe you have to throw them a 5th not to take Ulmark |

Forwards are NOT the problem
DEFENSE clearly is
Our forward talent is so wildly underrated
And guys like Nylander, Bailey & Baptiste are gonna provide even more speed & scoring depth |

We would need one of Bailey or Baptiste to have a breakout 20 goal year to sniff the playoffs i think. If we could ditch Moulson and add an even-strength scoring winger, I'd feel a lot better |
