If we can trade Reinhart for a 2/3 d man and then replace his production with an older guy like Vrbata we are without a doubt better on that day. Sure long term might differ but we'd be a lot better in that moment.

That said I'm not sure I'd trade Reinhart for Tanev

For me it's more about age. If we trade Reinhart I want it to be for a guy under 26

Honestly is Peterson is gone and we can move Lehner, acquiring Fluery would be my dream scenario.

I'm leaning towards hanging on to Kane until the TDL. A year with Eichel should get him 30 goals, and make a huge difference for a borderline/playoff team.
