I like the Beaulieu trade. For a 3rd rounder? All day, every day. Twice on Sunday's.

I think Beaulieu is going to be like Joel Armia for the Habs fans. Some will say "no big deal" while others will say they let a good one get away. Only time will tell but a big thumbs up to Botterill from me.

Kid has potential but he'll need to quit the partying and grow up. For a 3rd it might be worth it but risky with a young core.

I think Housley can turn this bunch around . Maybe even Bogosian. Too many gloomy Guses around here. You don't always have to look for the worst in everything. I look forward to the Leafs and Sabres having a great rivalry again. But it seems some folks around hear would rather be miserable.

And buffalo was drafting chychrun at #8. Nylander is a funny way of spelling chychrun. I have no "inside" source but my non-inside source says it will not Ennis. Housley was really talking him up, which would be strange if we were about to lose him. My guess is BOGO

The fact that Charlie McAvoy was not on our radar is a huge red flag now

That is one of the truest statements ever posted on this blog, As I have stated before, I look at a situation and try to look to the ceiling when searching for a result, as opposed to the cynics who constantly look to the floor.

I think Baptiste can be a top 6 winger, Carrier looked good as a bottom 6. Bailey was disappointing and the verdict is still out on Fasching

I agree on Baptiste and I agree with your assessment of Carrier, even though I see potential for more upside, I think Fasching needs to round his game out a little longer in Rochester, Bailey reminds me of when Soupy Campbell came to Buffalo, Soupy was awful his first couple of seasons and then started to find his role and now he is revered, I think the same is true of Bailey, He has improved in each of his 2 seasons in the minors, I certainly see him as being on par talent wise with the likes of Rust, Guentzal, Scott Wilson and the like. Let's sit back and see where GMJB's development plan takes him.

I'm pretty sure McAvoy was well on the radar, It came down to the fact that Nylander's potential was too much to pass up on, but as usual we have the hindsight GM's that know better.
