I am still holding out hope that Botterill has a deal in place with Vegas to take one of Moulson or Bogo off our hands. I would like to keep both Carrier and Ulmark. Or maybe they select one of Falk or Fedun if they want an inexpensive d-man.

Lehner didn't have a contract, and couldn't be protected over Ullmark. We needed to expose a goalie that met all qualifications.

I think buffalo tried to trade Lehner to Calgary. They would have then reaquired Johnson and exposed him to LV, protecting ullmark. Calgary went with smith instead.

I don't think that was the issue...from what I recall, murray's major issue was that Pysyk didn't jump into the play as much as his skating and talent-level dictated
