I REALLY hope they trade him to us
Very curious as to what the supposed deal with the Ducks is
I had heard Cogliano & two 2nds, but obviously that's not true since Cogliano is protected - jdfitz77
I have Vegas taking Staal, Radulov and Cammaleri/ryan for a top line. I think they'll get a 3rd to avoid Dumba. That way they'll be at least semi able to score |

4th liner, meh
I know u don't like Ennis,
but u can't deny he has more scoring ability than Carrier
Plus, Cegas probably takes Ullmark
Or maybe we have a deal worked out with them taking Moulson! - jdfitz77
Ennis is worthless and should already be gone, regardless if I like him or not. |

Bogo must be choked. The Sabres protected a d-man who has been on the team for < 24 hours over him. Sends a big message to him. Assuming there is no deal for Vegas to take him, hopefully it motivates him to spend the summer stretching and working on his core so that he doesn't get injured during the pre-season. |

I would like to see him have a good year.

Love Ennis much? LV prob said if we exposed carrier they wouldnt take ullmark, so they rather lose carrier than ullmark. We had to protect another forward so why not Ennis. He may get back to 20 goal form under housley |

And how EXACTLY should he be gone?
Haven't u said repeatedly that teams won't trade for him bc of the concussions? |

I'd give them more than a 3rd to take Dumba & trade him to us
No way on Bobby Ryan
Idc if he had a good playoffs. His Reg season sucked & that contract is horrible
They should 100% take Hudon from Mtl |

That's actually a really solid team. Much better than the crap that Columbus and Minnesota had to choose from during the last expansion.

I feel like that team could actually compete. And if it doesn't, they could look to move Martin, Stempniak, Hamhuis and Grabner at the deadline. |

Agree with a lot of this
My differences...
No way to Bobby Ryan's contract, rather have Methot (can always trade him)
I like Neal, but rather have the younger Aberg. He's gonna be a good one
Siemens over Grigorenko, young defense talent wins out over young forward
Mrazek over Sheahan, he's only 25 & potential franchise goalie still
Took Perron, but Yakupov is a decent gamble
Dillon over Martin, mostly bc of age but Dillon is solid
How'd u get Hamhuis & Neal from Nash?
Took McQuaid over Miller bc he should get a decent pick or solid if kept
Rust over Fleury, rather have a young forward & go with Grubauer/Mrazek
Ullmark for AHL goalie
Burmistrov over Pulkannen, but whatever- slim pickins
Koekkoek from Tampa, 23 year old defenseman with potential
Cammalieri in Nj, figured he can score a bit & be traded at the deadline
They'd be crazy not to take Hudon from Mtl, shocked he wasn't protected
Shinkaruk over Poirier, but that's definitely a toss up
Took Reinhart from Edmonton, but I like your goalie idea to put w
Manson over Vatanen, but I doubt they get either
Took Neuvirth from philly with the idea to trade him, slim pickins
This was my team

They may just take Moulson anyway. He has a personal relationship with GMGM and they need to take some contracts to bump up their cap. |

Typo, Hamhuis is in Dallas, I typed in Nashville remembering when he stilled played there.
Neal is one of the best players available imo, no way they pass on him unless Nashville has a deal in place. Vantanen is the best player available in the draft, people have been overvaluing Manson, but they most likely have a deal in place. Seimens is a big time bust, but I don't think It matters much who they take from Colorado. It might be just me, but I'd much rather have Fluery and Sheahan over Mrazek and Rust. |

I've been juggling line combinations for the Sabres, and here's what I came up with for now. (I'm assuming there will be more trades and Carrier is taken by Vegas)
This also includes burying Moulson in Rochester. Saves us 1 mil against the cap, and provides a little more leadership down there. If he doesn't like it, then retire. JB has absolutely no ties to him, and is not responsible for how it makes him feel. Or just make him a healthy scratch until we absolutely need him. Either way, he's still getting paid 5 mil; so how pissed off can he really be?
Line 1: Kane Eichel Reinhart
Line 2: Nylander O'Reilly Okposo
Line 3: Ennis Girgensons Baptiste
Line 4: Foligno Larsson Fasching/Bailey
Rodriguez
Fasching/Bailey
C.J Smith
S. Malone
Schneider
D 1: McCabe Ristolainen
D 2: Beaulieu Antipin
D 3: Guhle Bogosian
7: Jorges
8: Falk
9: Fedun
10. B. Martin
I would rather have Nylander play with Eichel, but I have him starting with 2 older guys until he gets his feet wet, then I would swap Kane and Nylander. I think Nylander is better suited to play with Eichel because he is more of a playmaker than Kane, thus giving our best player (Eichel) higher odds of having the puck on his stick, which is when he's most dangerous. Where as Kane (even though he did improve on this last year) needs to have the puck on his stick a lot more, and shoots from anywhere.
Still a lot more work for JB to do to this roster. TM really left him a pretty big mess.
We really need to have one of our prospects to develop into a solid NHLer. Whether it's Baptiste, Bailey, Fasching.... Whoever. We really need at least 1 or 2 of them to be good. If not, it's going to be a really long season, and better start getting familiar with the prospects of the 18' entry draft
