Cal- Shinkaruk, like his upside over Poirier but it's a toss up
Chi- van Riemsdyk, no Kruger bc I didn't assume the deal
Col- Siemens, young defense upside more caluable than Grigorenko's upside
Cbj- J.Johnson, trade bait
Dal- Oleksiak, young defense upside over Eakins contract/down season
Fla- Marchessault, over Smith's contract to play 3C
LA- McNabb, possible trade bait or depth- Like other centers slightly over Lewis
Mtl- Hudon, really good young prospect- shocked Mtl didn't protect
Nsh- Aberg, more scoring upside than Scissons imo
Nj- Cammaleri, can still score & be moved at deadline
NyR- Grabner, all day over Ranta- like other goalies
Phi- Neuvirth, probably trade him- Raffl is 28 & only had 1 good year
StL- Perron, better contract than Lehtera & better scorer
Wsh- Grubauer, bc not 100% on Mrazek- but I like Schmidt

If anything, Vegas will take Carrier. No way they pick Ullmark with the likes of Mrazek and Fleury out there, they have plenty of goaltender options available to them.

Can someone clarify for me? I though all players picked by vegas could not be traded until next year, so that would mean they couldnt work out side deals with others teams to select certain players that the before mentioned team could trade for.

I think they can trade players selected, they just can't buy them out for 1 year

I believe they can't trade them back to the team that selected them from but they can flip a selected player instantly to another team.

Honestly people can go back and forth about who we should and shouldn't have protected, either way in the end I don't think the Sabres could really be too terribly affected by it. If anything they might help us by dealing with Bogo.

Typo, Hamhuis is in Dallas, I typed in Nashville remembering when he stilled played there.

Neal is one of the best players available imo, no way they pass on him unless Nashville has a deal in place. Vantanen is the best player available in the draft, people have been overvaluing Manson, but they most likely have a deal in place. Seimens is a big time bust, but I don't think It matters much who they take from Colorado. It might be just me, but I'd much rather have Fluery and Sheahan over Mrazek and Rust.

I agree with u about Neal, but he has 1 year left on his contract & would most likely wanna go to UFA status to be back on a contender
I'd say a young promising Aberg is better than you'd get in return for Neal at the deadline

I think Manson is undervalued, but I'd be happy with either guy
he's just my preference

Fleury is 32... by the time Vegas is ready to win, they'll have a different starter... so why not just get right to Grubauer?

And if Grubauer isn't ready (not a sure thing), I'd take Mrazek as well.
Better to double up on who could be your future franchise goalie
