I should have added a few of his cons how ever. LMAO He also can be a turnover machine if he's off his game and gets caught pinching at times that will make you want to break your TV. His positioning at times as well can be a bit annoying you'l see what i mean in time. He's still a beast and wish MTl could have kept him. - Mr.FunFacts
good analysis thank you. Imo he starts off in a sheltered role, lots of o-zone time, PP time maybe. |

How about Byfuglien or Burns? They should be eligible as forwards, right? - jcragcrumple
Nope
They played defense this year
If they had split time at the positions throughout the season they could probably get away with it
But I think it's been 3 years since Burns played forward & since his Chicago days for Big Buff
Pretty confident the NHL wouldn't have allowed that

As far as I know,
Both have been almost exclusively used as defensemen for the last couple years |

NP, as for Chucky, i dought he gets moved at all. For the first time in a long time the Habs may have a scary first line. |

I think this points to Guhle being in Rochester next year. Which is a good thing, IMO.
Honestly would not mind if Nylander is there again as well. Be patient and do this right. |

Guys like Beaulieu remind me of Justin Schultz.
When used right, and in the right system can be very effective.
This was a solid, solid pick up IMO |

That's fair
But I can't help but be concerned about this past season for them
Not like we gave up a lot
I like the trade
I'm just not ready to say he's a sure thing |

I like this comparison. Many considered Schultz a bust, but Pittsburgh found him a niche. This could be a sneaky good move by Botterill. Not a top pairing guy, but a likely upgrade from last year's unit.

they retain his rights
thus sign him
this really isn't anything new |

Give Housley a chance with him, he's not that bad. - SABRES 89
Bogo is fine as a 3rd D. Prob is he's paid like a 1st. It's a stafford problem. Wasn't bad but when your overpaid it makes us hate the player. If stafford made 2 million we would of liked him. If bogo made 3 million we would be fine with him.

At worst, we replaced Franson with a guy who can actually skate.
At best, we have our version of what the Pens did with Schultz |

as wetbandit schooled me on, he still needs to be tendered a qualifying offer to be exposed |

These are the types of moves I wanted our GM to make for a long time. Going back to Darcy. There are guys every year who are traded or criminally under paid that we never seem to get |
