Then that seals it. There's no downside to getting a guy who didn't score a goal off your roster - jcragcrumple
I thought it was hilarious that Button's first mock expansion draft had Vegas taking Delsauriers from us. Now both him and Severelli have them taking Carrier. |

If your choice was Ennis, DLo, Bogo, Falk, or Moulson then maybe.
But Ullmark would still be there |

There's honestly not 1 scenario where I could see DLo being the guy McPhee would take. |

Dumb isn't worth 8. Let's just draft and develop our own guy - Sabresfan-365
Maybe we trade down and then trade the lower 1st for him. Personally I like Dumba alot and would consider moving 8 for him if included a bit more on top of it. Just my opinion tho |

Dumba plays on the right side. Beaulieu plays left. Dumba is a superior player in my opinion tho |

I am leaning toward this. If we are to pay the top price (our 1st in the mix) I would prefer a proven guy or wait. If we can get Dumba without giving up our first then i'm all for it. It may not be a deep draft year but a top 10 pick still carries a substantial amount of value. |

I would say that is not bad. Do you really think you can do better than that? |

So we give up the farm for Dumba and then pair him with a complete unknown (antipin) or McCabe? |

I read something the other day that basically said that he's most likely not a fit at this point. Re-signing him would push someone else into a spot that they don't really fit in. - HonkFortheGoose
if reinhart and okposo are the rw'ers for the top 2 lines
asplund not signing
that leaves
fasching, bailey, baptiste, girgens, larsson, ennis as options for the bottom 2 lines
but they had bailey working at lw
then again they had nylander playing rw in rochester last year, I think
I still wouldn't want to break up foligno, larsson, gionta if brian takes a 1 year deal for 2 mil |

Not sure I understand.
You "give up the farm" for Dumba because he is a good D-man regardless and should be able to play with anyone |

me personally? i dunno im a little on the shorter end but i am a good ol ontario boy so ive got that going for me
in all seriousness if you're giving up 8th overall you may as well put together a real package and land a top pair guy. other wise draft and develop a cost controlled player of your own. |

Also, Past Risto we are actually worse off on the right side than the left. People are obsessed with finding a partner for Risto. We need to upgrade our entire d-core. |

A top pairing guy is going to cost you 8, next years first and Nylander most likely. What top pairing guy is availabe also?
I'd rather give up 8 for Dumba + Min 1st. |
