I think Eichel wants the C and I doubt anyone would argue but I agree that ROR is a close second. Might light a fire under his ass too. I do like that ROR took a lot of personal blame for the bad season we had.

There was something in the Buffalo News yesterday about all of this.

The article said they may benefit from doing a Co-Captaincy between O'Reilly and Eichel. But, overall, the team needs their captain to have swagger, so at the end of the day it should be Eichel. O'Reilly would still have an A and doesn't need the C in order to do what he does in general.

Bailey and Baptpiste were the reason that it was mentioned Gionta shouldn't be brought back at this point. The article basically mentioned how bringing him back pushes someone else into a less favorable spot and that's probably not a good move at this point.
