How often have you seen those players in action? What is their upside and how do you know they will all be franchise players in the future?

I really hope the Flyers get Nolan Patrick. I didn't even think about Vegas trading up. I know I shouldn't be disappointed by Hischier, but I feel like I will be. 1st world problems I suppose.

I like some of those guys a lot but realistically it doesn't make sense to trade the pick and hope we win the lottery again. Draft Nico or Nolan unless Vegas wants to give us something obscene.

With the influx of youth there is a great chance we miss the playoffs again especially if it's a poop show in net. We saw what happened to Colorado. You're right I absolutely don't bank on chance. I take the gift we've been granted and don't double down.

Let's not forget that we were supposed to draft 13th this year. The Flyers were bad not horrible and we got incredibly lucky

After watching the Leafs this season I am really anxious to get the kids in the lineup. I realize D and goalies are different than dropping 5 or 6 young forwards into the lineup but man... c'mon, let's go!

You said a lot of how I feel -- I don't even hate the Flyers roster right now. I understand the words that people are saying when they explain to me why they agree with those moves

But if it was me, I'd have eaten Streit's deal for the rest of the season and let him walk before I helped Steve Yzerman out by taking Filippula's contract

That's just me -- not starting a fight. But that totally helped the Lightning, heading into an expansion draft. I simply wouldn't have done it

It's just speculation but if vegas was serious about getting our pick it would have to come with their 2018 pick as well which will likely be top 3-5 overall Realistically.

I agree. The Streit/Filppula deal in my opinion was a bad expansion approach.

Trade was made to acquire center depth, expansion played no part in it imo. Does it really matter that much if we help someone outside of our division? We weren't going to pick him up for one year at that price. It was a win win for both teams.

I think Hextall finds a way to trade for Fleury. Most of the hockey world knows the Flyers need a goalie.
