I'm all for signing a stopgap FA defenseman so long as he doesn't end up IN THE WAY of all of the young Flyers Dmen pushing to break into the league and being everyday NHL'ers. |

It's not that it's all bad (hell, even modern country has some good songs), but in general, I find it to be a little too chaotic for me. I don't know how else to put it. Even most death metal bands have a semblance of melody to them. A lot of the BM that I've heard sounds very disorganized. - jmatchett383

If anyone wanted to chat about random hockey stuff, did anybody see that Las Vegas might wind up with as many as five first-round picks (including theirs) on Friday night?
I've never seen anything like that before - AllInForFlyers
Vatanen I can understand...
But only an Islanders GM would value Adam Pelech over the 15th-overall pick.
Blue Jackets giving up their 1st for what... to spare Jack Johnson? Ew. |

It's crazy, right? The Isles didn't protect Brock Nelson, either -- now granted, they (likely) have a deal, but damn

If we're talking actual chill stoner music then Chon is where it's at right now. These guys are awesome.

I enjoy bands like Uncle Acid, red fang, high on fire etc during those sessions.

The absolute lack of forethought there is amazing. Ladd should never have been given a NMC and Hamonic should be with another team by now. That's Nelson and Strome's protection slots right there. |

It's way early, but is 2018 projected to be good or have a lot of depth?
I keep going back and forth on how good I think the Knights will be -- I can't convince myself they're gonna score enough to finish better than 12th in the West, but Gallant's a pretty decent coach, they should have decent goaltending... - AllInForFlyers
They were set up to be a really good team and instead of sticking to the program and picking the best available team it certainly appears McPhee is leveraging every decent selection he can make into draft pick, prospects and lesser NHL players.
While that might be for the best long term the Knights are going to blow chunks for a couple season and pick high and pick often. |

quakers yuck - rinaldo
Yeah, I can't believe we ended up playing there the last two seasons. Ended up being a good two years despite my reservations. Kid started in Reading then moved to the Colonials and then the final two seasons with the Quakers. Turns out they're all pretty much the same. Same hierarchy, same coddling of certain families, same coaching problems, same poopty parents, same crappy management.
As far as bad management goes nothing could ever top Reading who I think has been without a team since the day we bailed. Of course the guy who managed them ended up on the board of the DVHL so poop does flow uphill. |

Exactly -- I don't think Snow is horrific all the time, but sometimes he makes you really wonder

My kid never wanted to play tier I. He had ops with the Bears, the minutemen and the jr flyers but he would have rather played with his buddies.
and gods yes... all those people think about is money. We almost went to court to extract him from his Reading gig. |

Jr Flyers was 7,500. Between High School and travel we were dropping 5k.
It's nice as a dad to be out from under those bills this year. There's just soooooooo much extra cash laying around. I still miss it. |

Vegas has until tomorrow to jump free agency. We can sign him at anytime. At this point I don't think flyers can sign him until the expansion draft is final. Vegas had 72 hours of exclusivity. |
