As soon as Botterill was brought in he said they like the fact that there's a bunch of guys on the team that are versatile enough to play more than 1 position. It was an answer in reference to Reinhart and he also brought up Girgensons when he answered. He said he loves the flexibility it gives a team.

wasn't Reinhart one of our best 5v5 players last year? Seems to me (based on advanced stats) that he was up there at least.

Lots of rumors suggest the Sabres want a middle 6 center. This tells me that Bots likes Sam on the wing, at least for the time being.
