As much as I hate the sport, soccer does ads in a way that it doesn't look incredibly obtrusive like it does in the European hockey leagues. If they can figure out a way to do that, I can accept it.

The one thing I wanted to see (much) more than the royal blue was the return of the original Sabres logo on the shoulder patches.

- So we got rid of the grey pit stains and piping. That's good.

- We're the only team to have a number on the front. That's bad.

- We didn't stick with the previous point while designing the Away jerseys? That's bad.

It still doesn't look nearly as bad as just about any and every European Hockey league jersey. Hell, even the national ones for tournaments like the World Championships are eye sores.

I prefer ad-less jerseys as much as everyone else, but they are going to be inevitable. I just hope they don't look like a cluster(frank).

The Sabres 50th anniversary is coming up in a few years. That's probably when they will go back to royal. There's too much revenue at stake for them not to do it. People will buy the new Adidas ones now, just because they're the new thing, and then you get more when you wait a couple of years.

The stickers across the brim of the helmets are terrible.

It's going to start with a shoulder patch, maybe an arm patch. Companies get their logos on the jerseys and the fans by and large accept it after some grumbling. The NHL has done this perfectly. They let it leak a few years ago they wanted to do it and by the time they actually happen people will just be like "whatever".

I just hope it doesn't get crazy and they stop at 1 or 2, not every free space like Euro leagues do.

Would you do this trade with LV? Reinhart to LV And LV agrees to take Moulsen. In return we get a stud winger like James Neal and a stud dman like methot or Dumba? Fills 2 big holes for us and Reinhart is more valuable to LV as a 1c than a 3c with us.
