This front office a lot tighter lipped than the last one? - TheSabresTaco
Botterill is still new to a lot of folks on the staff, including my uncle's friend on the staff. However, there is no talk of Kane going to the Ducks and there wasn't this past season either, Ennis was talked about a few times even when Darcy was here. |

From what I have been told, the sabres have made ZERO out calls regarding E Kane
Zero at the deadline a few months ago
Zero since GMJB took over
calls have tricked in with offers, but no serious trade conversations
it's a non story, til they are done with extension talks |

For all we know, Hossa wants to retire.
It's just too convenient, especially when it seems there run of dominance is over, and his contract has close to been paid. - sbroads24
My guess is that all this is a combination of both. He wants to retire, they can't afford for him to, so instead they convince him the best course of action is to have him on LTIR for the next few years.
He gets to get paid that $1MM for the next 4 years and all he has to do is basically come to camp, fail his physical, and go home. |

I said yesterday that Kane wants to stay and they are looking to meet in July with him to gauge interest from both sides. |

Ennis and 2018 second to LV for Theodore. BOOM.
Vegas has already explained that will take more defenders than they need and use those assets as currency to round out the roster. - Der Kaiser
You have to warn me before you make a serious post.
Everytime I see you post, I have expectations for a cryptic yet humorous endeavor.

Expansion leaks starting:
Wild
Erik Haula
Alex Tuch (18th overall in 2014)
Draft Pick
Not bad for staying away from Dumba and Staal. |

any chance you've heard any deals with Vegas? A trade for a Dmen or send them picks for forwards? |

Ducks sent
Clayton Stoner (cap dump)
Shea Theodore
Maybe a draft pick
Shea is a great pickup for Vegas. (that's 2 D I would consider, Shea and Tuch) |

If Peterson is not going to sign in Buffalo, wouldn't he be a good chip to add to a deal for Vegas? They are going to have Fleury most likely and Peterson could have a couple of years to transition to the pro game. They wouldn't have to worry about him clearing waivers for a while and he would have some pretty good mentors with the goalies they are likely to pick up.
On a side note, WTF would Pittsburgh not trade Fleury for a goalie they could leave exposed plus another player/pick instead of giving Vegas a pick to take Fleury? |

Not sure if this is out there, but rumblings that #VegasGoldenKnights could acquire #2 overall pick from #Flyers via their expansion bounty
Wait, what? |

Not as of yet, but we will have to move out a Damn to take one in. Bogo and Gorges will play unless one gets moved out. |

I don't think anyone is interested in picking up his salary.

Yea I guess I am expecting to drop some players too. I still think 1 more D would be ideal. Two more D and we can send a D in package for a higher Forward, like Duchene, Landeskog, or some one like that. Maybe even a higher D player too. |

Buffalo would be a better spot for Peterson than LV? If he's planning on testing UFA instead of signing with BUF, why would he sign with LV?
On a side note, hope we're in on one of these dmen |

if they seriously want to extend Kane this offseason, i'm ok with it at a reasonable number. I have to see one of Moulson, Bogo, or Gorges leave this offseason to see them making a big splash. |

i have no doubt homie's right and that theyll touch base to see what his number is but he's going to be a mid 20's ufa, his ask is probably going to be something too high for JB to commit.
I think they keep him and play him in a role that inflates his value and then trade him for picks at the deadline.
i dont think you can move any of those 3 guys though |

Vegas would have to have assurances that he's going to sign with them first. Otherwise, why would they take him in any deal? |
