this team might actually be worse than the Avs - DDM-Coga
Impossible, this isn't the 2014 Sabres we are talking about. |

The fact that VGK took Berube makes me think Ullmark is safe.
They would really only need one young goalie to develop.
They already took Fleury and Grubeur as well
That's 3 goalies already. - JVince11
Berube is a UFA. They may not even keep him. |

First thing I thought too
Also to consider...
they're splitting their AHL team
so they probably only need 1 goalie for down there |

Why would he be included in the deal then?
They could've just taken Grabovsky & gotten the 1st in addition |

Seems that VGK has taken at least 2 maybe 3 RFAs as well. Risk there.
Maybe Foligno or Larsson. Quality 3rd line guys? |

THere has to be a reason....
The rumor is that they could take extra D Men especially and just look to trade them. Said to be the idea with Methot and maybe James Neal as well.
I tell you what... I'd trade a pretty penny to add Neal to this top 6 if we do indeed deal Kane. Neal might be getting old but damn it.. he can put the biscuit away when fed by a guy like Eichel. |

No reason to ever doubt @TSNBobMcKenzie. So the deal is #Isles 1st, 15th overall and Grabovski to have Vegas select JF Berube.
HOLY SCHNIKES.... that turned out a lot bigger than I thought. THey REALLLLY wanted them to leave their forwards alone huh. - JVince11
Grabovsky is our Moulson
So basically a 1st to take that contract, plus not take Bailey, Nelson, Strome, deHann, etc etc |

It seems to me the Isles wanted to lose both of those players so perhaps as a condition for the #15 pick Vegas was willing to do that. |

Only 1 year left on his deal
I'd do something like Carrier + 2nd

Berube is UFA
All they had to do to lose him was not resign him |

ehhh.... I didn't realize that... short term rental unless we win.
Leave it to NYI to deal a 1st round pick tho. Man alive. |

Why is taking a RFA a risk?
They can easily match offer sheets
How are u seeing Foligno or Larsson fit in?
We protected them

Foleys said VGK have taken a few UFAs, in theory to walk away from them.
What the.... so basically they had to have made a deal with the team to get said asset if they just take a UFA and then never sign him. So original team A could then resign their own player.
That's.... that's something right there.
I really feel like VGK is going to be some extremely top heavy team with some WHO IN THE F*CK IS THAT GUY in their bottom 6 and bottom pairing because they dealt for hte future so much. Like Adam Pardy playing bottom pairing minutes. |

right but further illustrates how much wed have to give up to get rid of him. they gave up 15th pick (granted they had a lot more to lose in expansion than we did) |

What's that matter?
NyI would still have to pay him,
so it helps them for Vegas to take the contract off their hands |

I don't think u can compare what we'd have to give up based on the NyI deal bc (like u said) that 1st is more about protecting Bailey/Nelson/deHann |

No cap hit though. Moulson would count against the cap for the next two years. |
