No your point was they wanted Ullmark and mine was, they wanted more picks and " acted" like they wanted Ullmark and got just that, a good player and another pick.

Plenty other options out there better then Ullmark, they wanted the pick.

Could even just be that moving that late in season didn't work well for him either. Some guys can jump right in and make an impact. Other guys need more time to develop chemistry with their teammates.

McPhee stated that they had two players and Buffalo wanted to sway their thinking. They probably wanted Ullmark for the versatility. Botterill said, I'll give you this 6th to take the other guy (Carrier) and that's what happened.

That's what I mentioned before, gotta move out Bogo and Gorges if you want to bring another D man or 2, not enough spots. Botterill is very patient and in no rush.

I'm going to be curious of who bites on Patrick Eaves... potted 34 goals last year for 1M from Anaheim.

Gagner potted 18 and 52 pts for CLB for 645K

Vanek still potted 17 and 48 pts for 2.6M (I know some wouldn't have minded him back here for depth).

That's the disconnect. I don't believe a 6th rd pick would have swayed them to stay away from Ullmark is all; if they really liked him. So they got a low rd pick
for taking a guy they were comfortable taking anyway.
