I agree. Both of them would have to be moved for NHL Hockey players, meaning a top 6 forward or top 4-man, not prospects or draft picks. We need someone established if we trade those guys.

If you want to break down advanced stats and trade away developing players theoretically Jack would be in there too with his less than stellar 5v5 scoring compared to PP; his D play, which is preposterous. D's take longer to develop than F's especially when they are playing #1 D at such a young age with weak partners to play with very often. Risto is a pillar of this D corps for now and the future.

Interesting you say that, I was talking to a buddy of mine who is an Oilers fan and he was saying the exact same thing about thier team after the Eberle deal went down. After CM and LD they start to get pretty thin in the goal scoring department in his opinion.

He better get his ass in gear and do something. GMTM never had a problem making things happen. JBotts has this year to make the playoffs just like GMTM would have. If Kane is moving out for some poopty ass defenceman, he better figure out where 25 goals are going to come from, which is a poop ton for this team. Folks aren't patient and certainly don't need to be. Fans' opinions don't mean much, but the players' opinions will. I have less patience with the Sabres this year than the Bills. Bills will be putting even more pressure on the Sabres this year. Mark it down and put it in a safe place. I got Bills making playoffs before the Sabres because their season starts earlier. Sabres better be following right behind.
