The guy has never handled top defenseman minutes. You don't pay that guy a dime over 6.5. And that's UFA inflation.

probably. Thing is its not like we're drafting matthews or laine here. Nico is ehlers level and patrick is a slightly better reinhart.

McCabe/Guhle can be the defensive D men on the top two pairs (eventually)
