Unfortunately there are terms to contracts. Eichel and ROR will be lining up to be a punching bag in the EC for another year or two. Keep majoring in the minors.

We have Eichel and a bunch of other decent to good defensemen

I would rather build a top 4 that resembles Nashville and add a winger or two when they're ready to be a legit contender
