No problem with these choices by the Sabres. We might see Mittlestadt in a year or two, but the rest are years from contributing.

Botterill has a ton of work to do cleaning up the mess of the Darcy and GMTM regimes. Any short term remedies will come from making shrewd acquisitions like the Beaulieu trade.

There is no quick-fix unfortunately. This year will likely be about internal evaluation and getting a year closer to ridding ourselves of Ennis, Moulson, Bogo and Gorges.

I doubt we'll be a playoff team.
