I'd really like to see the Leafs get one of these two this off-season in the [email protected] range.

I think it'd really solidify things and take the pressure off moving JVR until we know if this team is playoff bound next year. If we can't get either of those two then I'd try to turn JVR into a top 4 D.

It's only the expected cost because GMd sign average players like those two to ridiculous deals. Neither are even as good as Gardiner, and so should be paid accordingly.

Nope. Don't mind Alzner but too long a term so won't happen.

I was a bit surprised at the lack of movement by the Leafs in acquiring a D. I figured even with McPhee's comments about having discussions with Lou it was a given. Now maybe it's a case of the Leafs looking to free agency, but who? Or are they going after a bigger player like maybe Trouba or Ekman Larson.

On another note, this expansion draft was further evidence that this league is boring and oozing with collusion. How McPhee did not take Vatanen or manson or Dumba is beyond me and the deals he worked out were garbage.
