He may use it as a starting point, the leafs will use it as a ceiling. Not a bad comparable, and a pretty decent contract if you can get him under oshies annual value

A huge steal in the 2nd round with a big talented Dman, as well as a big guy in net from the WHL.

Must say this is really good going forward.

Sure, it'd be nice to get a top 4 Dman for JVR to round out our blueline, but looking ahead 5 years this team could be really deep.

So the question is: Do we get anything for JVR? Does he get moved for a Dman?

I wouldn't mind seeing him go, and free up a wing spot for the likes of Leivo and Soshnikov

There's a few reaches there I think, but we may have a good one with O'Connell in the final round... the few folks on twitter I've seen who scout seem to think that he's got lots of talent but needs some rounding out.
