The Sabres don't have the depth of the Blues. If they trade Kane at the deadline while still in the playoff hunt he will, no doubt, be a main cog in their season, in their 5v5 scoring and someone,if they have hopes for the playoffs, one they would want to play for them in playoffs. Jack who almost had to see a shrink he was so pissed they missed the playoffs would be irked if one of his main linemates was dealt for a Dman. It would make no sense to trade Kane at the deadline if the Sabres were buyers and not sellers at the deadline. They aren't that deep and talented at forward I don't care what people say.

Heard the post draft presser wrap up and the questions Hamster and Harrington were asking sounded like they could smell blood in the water. Everything is awesome with this guy. Hopefully he is better at talking with other GM's than he is to reporters, but that is doubtful considering the lackluster weekend. GMTM was like Bill Clinton when it came to that. His brashness was a breath of fresh air. Moulson would be in Vegas right now.

Maybe Botts will get us Anisimov. That would be awesome. Not. Bills TC can't get here soon enough.

He did something that was 10% of the severity of guys like Doughty, Kane, Voynov, Stoll, Heatley, Richards except guess what, they're all white. So thousands of dollars worth of drugs and hookers and beating women and date rape are all fair game, even when you get caught.

Yep, hockey is a racist sport and some of the most racist countries are homogenous like Eastern European like Russia and Nordic like Sweden and Finland; Canada and the US within the Hockey mom and dad's bubble are homogenous as well. I used to teach Engish to Polish immigrants and never heard such blatant racism and I'm going to guess neighbor Russia is similar in their beliefs.

Byfuglien comes from a small, 97% white border town of 2,000 people in north Minnesota. He is what white people want blacks men to be. Soft-spoken, educated, complacent and unaccepting of your own kind, raised in small-town America by white people.

Kane come from a family of jocks and athletes, in a predominantly more diverse area (Vancouver) which is basically the LA of Canada, got a huge contract at a young age and acted just like any other stupid 21 year old kid who got a huge pay day but still has a black identity.

There are a lot of subtle narratives between the two.
