So you move scoring for upgraded D and then you have no scoring. We need to move Mouslon, Gorges and maybe a few other to rid us of the bad contracts. July 1st may help us out if they can sign a D man but, where do Bogo and Gorges play ? Not that I want gorges in the lineup. - SABRES 89
Yes you move one we don't have the other. Hence we are a couple years away. Why you just play Bailey and others on the top line, lose, draft another difference maker until nylander and middlestadt are ready.
No need to buy molson or gorges out this year. Why carry their salary and buyout into extra years when gorges is gone next year and molsons contract is shorter.
Botterill is not playing for this year. His own words and draft show that |

Never said bury Moulson and Gorges matter of fact I said before the draft they would not do that. They aren't going to lose and draft in the top 8 again next year, no way Pegula will allow that after what just happened over the last 2 years. I'm not saying they will go all out because from what I was told, Botterill will be patient and I've been saying that for a few days now. |

Never said buy out, go back and read it, I said get rid of but that's not gonna happen. You can move them if you add a sweetener to move them but we aren't in the position to do that. |

To #Devils:
2017 8th RD pick (205th overall)
2017 8th RD pick (214th overall)
There's 8 rounds again? lmao - chilliard77
Look at those numbers one more time.
The only way there's 8 rounds is if they skip the 7th round. |

Do you know where the Shattenkirk talk involving the Sabres was coming from ? that would be a huge mistake IMO, I was reading his looking for 7 mill a year. |

And I never said bury. No one is trading for moulson. Only way out is a buyout |

Yeah, seeing Moulson, Ennis and Bogo start the season with Sabres (or IR) might be kinda disappointing. |

Sure you can, like I said add a pick or a prospect and you can to a team that has the room. However we aren't in that position to do that. |

Listen, all I said today was some players would step into Kane or Reinharts role if they departed. All of a sudden I'm an idiot, I don't watch hockey, and I have never seen these playears play. So of course I'm going to have some fun with you. How about disagree with me respectfully and the same will be returned. |

I'm as big a Fasching basher as anyone on here
He's good around the net, so he should be able to score goals
The think that could hold him back is his skating
It has gotten much better though
If he continues to work at it, he could be 3rd liner that scores 15+ goals
Maybe more if he gets PP time |

Who said anything about 6 7 mill a year players in the top 6, I didn't, problem is our players in the AHL are not making strides. What scrub is Crosby playing with ? - SABRES 89
Chris Kunitz, Connor Sheary. Not saying they're necessarily scrubs, but 1st liners they aren't either, and their numbers with Crosby are way above what they are without. As they should be Crosby is the best player of the last generation. The point is it doesn't matter who they play on Crosby's wing, that line will be fine and they can use a dirt cheap guy to put that money elsewhere, like Kessel on the 3rd line. |

The point i would make here is that the lists we get are not the same as the lists some teams have. His report reads well, i dont think he would have gone that late and so it doesnt surprise me that we took a chance on him.
success rate between round 3-4 or 5 isnt too far off. if you think this is one of the few guys who can turn into a success as a round 3-7 pick its worth it. The risk vs reward is minimal.
If they had taken him 31st thatd be kinda nuts.
edit: davidsson just kinda reminds me of asplund - Sabresfan-365
Pretty much after pick 14 or 15 you're rolling the dice. That's the big cliff in talent, generally speaking. |

I could see Bailey & Baptiste being our versions of Sheary & Rust
But they've gotta play with a good center
That's why I keep pushing to move Sam to 3C
I think wingers would be more productive with him,
as opposed to Larsson or Girgs
And I'm pretty confident that Jack will produce just fine w/out Reinhart |

That makes sense at least about the success rate in rounds NOT 1 or 2. Just seemed like a puzzling pick considering Farrance and Rathbone were still available. I hope they are right, as many have said they are the pro scouts and I am the amateur spectator. |
